That’s CRAZY!! Makes me so very sad for Dubrovnik- and to think after returning to the ship these folks think they have ‘seen it’!
High season is difficult to move around the town for everyone here. So many only walk the city wall and ride the cable car, what a shame to miss out on our many historical and cultural sites.
Makes me want to plan my visit for another time of year.
My goodness – makes the hordes that crawl along the tourist route of Venice look like a trickle! Oh dear. I’m so glad I visited back in the bad old days, back in the late 70s, when there were only a handful of us nosing around your beautiful city.
Began to visit here in 1971, years prior to the behemoth cruise lines “discovered” Dubrovnik and the Dalmatian coast. The photo is of one Sunday afternoon which had 18,000 cruisers in the old town. Doubt if we had that sort of count for an entire years way back when.

My advise is never to travel here in August!
